My Impreza is the same - it basically has a built-in diagnostic device due to the aftermarket ECU I use, so I can keep an eye on that too - it helped me identify a slight boost issue due to the wastegate spring becoming a little weak, and a det issue due to slightly worn injectors. The last thing I want is for something to fail totally in the future due to what might be a relatively minor fault now.īefore I got my C350, I'd always use basic EOBD diagnostic tools to ensure my prior car (Ford Focus) was running well, any little niggle I'd fix such a boost pressure issues when in fact a solenoid was simply sticking etc. It's also concerning how direct action by an MB dealer - certainly in the case of my mirrors - has caused a fault. Now, maybe I'm worrying over nothing, but if the car is flagging a fault, then I want the fault to be fixed. Note that XENTRY logs the mileage of the first occurrence and the last occurrence as well as the total number of occurrences, so I can see when the fault dates from in effect, as I do very little miles currently. However, since visiting my dealer for the fix, this error has occurred 238 times! This is a known issue, where the motor which controls the mirrors folding continues to run a second or so after the mirror has already hit the stops in the closed position. MB applied a "fix" for my mirrors making a squealing noise when closing in cold/damp weather. This one is for both front doors - so two separate XENTRY entries. MB dealer were working on my door to fix an excessive wind-noise issue, could they have knocked the speaker? Exactly what does this error mean?ĩDFB13 - "The output for mirror housing adjustment has a malfunction. Here's a list:ĭTC 9468 - "Speaker channel 2 has an open circuit"

Considering they "checked" the car and reported NO issues at my last visit, I'm a little surprised. After a recent visit to the guys at STAR Motor Services to have what turned out to be an ABS sensor issue diagnosed, I made some interesting, and somewhat worrying additional discoveries while browsing the XENTRY printout given to me.īasically, my car has several current and historical fault codes that seem to apply directly to work carried out my my MB dealer.
